POP3 & Web Base Email

Viper-Host.com gives you the ability to send and receive email using your favorite email programs (ie. Outlook Express, Eudora, Outlook 2002, etc) through the use of POP3. Alternatively, you can check your email online from any computer in the world that has an Internet connection.

Creating an email account in your control panel:

Lets say you want to give your buddy an email account. Log into your control panel:

yoursite.com/cpanel

Click on MAIL, as shown in the image below:

Then you are taken to the next page, click on Add/Remove/Manage Accounts, as shown
in the image below.

Then click Add Account, as shown in the image below.

Now all you have to do is fill in the mail account details, as shown in the image below.

Email: this is going to be the email account name (ie. billy@yoursite.com)

Password: this is the password you wish to assign for the new mail account.

Quota: This is optional, but you can set your mailbox size to any size you want, as long as it doesn't affect your bandwidth usage monthly. You can set your email box to receive files as large as a FULL CD or DVD ISO.

Hit CREATE and you're done.

Now you have a new email account.

You can check your email online anytime, by visting:

yoursite.com/webmail

Now we're going to setup Outlook 2002 so that we can send an receive email with this new account. Other email programs will use the same setup information we're going to show here, though the setup process may be different than that of Outlook 2002. If you need help, let us know which program you are using, and we'll take care of you.

Open Outlook 2002, if you haven't already.

Click on Tools > E-Mail Accounts, choose Add a new e-mail account:

click NEXT

Choose POP 3:

click NEXT

Now you need to enter all the information your outlook program will use to connect for sending and receiving email.

Click NEXT and then FINISH and you're done.
